Improving Business Security

After our company headquarters was robbed for the fifth time, I decided we needed to do a little better at bolstering security. Instead of relying on a few measly cameras and a security guard that was distracted most of the time, we installed a state-of-the-art security system and focused on eliminating inherent security threats. It took a lot of work, but after a few weeks we could tell that our efforts were really helping. We were able to thwart a potential robbery, which made me feel better about the investment. Four Reasons To Install Your Safe In The Kitchen

Blog

Keeping money and other valuables in the home should not be an event that leaves you with a lot of anxiety. There are good reasons for having cash and valuables on hand and keeping them in your own care may actually make you feel better. To keep large amounts of cash and jewelry that is insured, you should have a good safe installed in your home. Here are four reasons to ditch the conventional advice and install a safe in your kitchen.

No one sees kitchen interiors but you

Kitchens are typically a place for the family to gather. If you want to make sure that no one in passing is able to determine where you keep your safe, keep the safe in the kitchen. If you receive guests, they will typically be in places such as guest rooms, hallways, dining rooms, and living rooms. If guests are not preparing meals, most of them will never see the interior of your kitchen.

Easy to disguise as another appliance

You can have a safe placed under your cabinets then have a regular cabinet door placed inside or you can have a metal exterior created to look similar to a dishwasher or a trash compactor. Making sure the safe is properly mounted and is inconspicuous is a great idea. if you go with a metal door on the exterior, make sure that has a hard shell and does not swing open. You want the door to firmly close and only open purposely.

Any size safe works

Whether you need a safe that is actually as big as a dishwasher or if you only require a safe about the size of a microwave oven, these safes can be easily found for sale. Getting a safe mounted into the extra space of your pantry or inside of the wall in an unused space in your kitchen may be easier than finding space by drilling into a wall or into the basement structure. If you want a safe for your family to keep quickly accessible belongings, getting a safe the size of your particular needs will be easy to do in the kitchen.

You won't have to leave it behind

Just as appliances can be removed and taken with you if you move out, so can a safe that is placed in the kitchen. When you are removing your refrigerator and your dishwasher, you will be able to get the safe that is only two feet away taken out as well. While removing a floor safe can be much more difficult, removing one from the kitchen space may be more moving-friendly.
